Lifeskills’ non-institutional residential setting acts as a “lab for living”
where patients can experience and react to the realities of daily life
with the support of intensive psychodynamic therapy and relapse
prevention interventions.

Lifeskills is located in Boca Raton, one of Florida’s premier addresses. In
addition to comprehensive treatment services, our patients also have access
to enviable recreational, fitness, educational, and occupational opportunities.
South Florida also has a strong and vibrant recovering community.

While in treatment, our patients live in fully-furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom
apartments, with up to four patients sharing an apartment.
Lifeskills maintains a clinical office on-site so that patients have the benefit
of clinical supervision 24/7.

Because we believe that physical health is essential to recovery, Lifeskills
apartment residences have a gym, swimming pools, and tennis courts. Our
patients also receive a membership and transportation to and from a local
fitness club. Patients regularly do beach meditations and yoga.

Lifeskills provides transportation for all program related activities including
required self-help groups. Most of the educational, work, and other
independent living activities that become part of treatment at Lifeskills are
within walking distance from both the treatment center and the residences.

The merging of intensive clinical programming, strong sober support
systems, and outstanding recreational, vocational, and educational opportunity
is key to the success of Lifeskills’ patients as they resume autonomous living.
This dynamic combination leads many Lifeskills’ patients to remain in our
community following discharge.
