Summary of Employee Benefits
Lifeskills is pleased to offer the following benefits to employees who hold regular full-time positions and regular part-time positions. Employees are defined as all people who receive wages or salaries through Lifeskills’ payroll system, and are classified as:

Full-time Employees work a minimum of thirty-two hours per week on a regularly scheduled basis, and are benefits eligible.

Part-time Employees work less than forty hours per week on a regularly scheduled basis. Part-time employees must work 32 hours per week to be benefit eligible. Benefit eligible part-time employees will receive medical insurance, and will accrue PTO as a fraction of the hours worked divided by 40 hours. For example, a part-time employee working 32 hours would accrue 4/5s of available PTO. Full information on benefits is available from the Human Resources Department.

Time Off Benefits
Lifeskills offers equal employment opportunity to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, national origin, veteran status, or disability. Lifeskills conducts its business on an equal opportunity basis in all business practices including, but not limited to, the interviewing and hiring process, compensation, benefits, training, promotions, transfers, layoffs and recalls from layoff.

Vacation
Lifeskills, like most employers, recognizes the importance of giving employees time away from job responsibilities, and has the following Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit.
  • Full-Time Employees with 0-5 years of employment at Lifeskills are eligible for 17 days (136 hrs) of PTO per year.
  • Full-Time Employees with 5+ years of service are entitled to 22 days (176 hrs) of PTO per year.
  • Part-Time Employees with 0-5 years of employment are eligible for 13 days (108.80 hrs) of PTO per year.
  • Part-Time Employees with 5+ years of service are entitled to 18 days (141 hrs) of PTO per year.
PTO begins to accrue at your hire date, but may not be taken until the 90-day probationary period has ended.

Holidays
Lifeskills employees are given seven paid holidays within a calendar year. These holidays are:
  • Employee’s Birthday
  • Christmas Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • July 4th
  • Memorial Day
  • Labor Day
  • New Year’s Day
Holidays must be taken during the calendar year, and cannot be accrued as PTO. Hourly employees who work during holidays will be reimbursed at time and one half. Employees who work during a holiday at the request of their supervisor will be given an additional day off with pay to be used within one month of the actual holiday.

Lifeskills offers excellent group medical and dental insurance plans. Employees are responsible for payment of only 25% of their medical and dental group coverage premiums; and 50% of an added premium for a spouse or dependents.

All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Lifeskills’ medical, dental, and life insurance benefits on the first day of the month following the end of their 90-day probationary period. Premiums for full-time employees and dependents are automatically deducted from payroll each pay period.

Changes to your plan selection(s) can only be made once a year during “open enrollment

Lifeskills provides a small life insurance policy to all employees who enroll in a group plan free of charge.
