Lifeskills Outpatient Program is an intensive, psycho-educational recovery
program with emphasis placed on cognitive-behavioral relapse prevention
strategies and drills, independent living techniques, and the development of
self-monitoring skills. The Outpatient Program consists of three evening
group psychotherapy sessions and one individual session per week. Board
Certified Psychiatrist consultation and medication management can be

After discharge, many Lifeskills Residential patients use the Outpatient
Program to help make the transition back to work, school, or home more
successful. The Outpatient Program is also an excellent option for working
adults who need therapeutic support in their recovery. The eight-week
Outpatient Program cycle can be renewed as needed.

At least every six-weeks Lifeskills offers an intensive three-day Family
Program. All family members and significant others are encouraged to attend
a Lifeskills Family weekend, as family involvement is a key component of
recovery. Admission is limited to insure the maximum therapeutic benefit
for our attendees. Lifeskills Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
maintains contact with appropriate family members throughout the patients
stay which helps family members feel more informed and at home when
they come to the intensive weekend. The Family Program is facilitated by
both the Marriage and Family Therapist and Lifeskills Medical Director.
The Medical Director is an integral part of our Family Program, and is readily
available to family members for questions related to treatment planning,
prognosis, and follow-up or discharge planning needs.

Lifeskills provides weekly Aftercare groups to alumni at no charge to further
support long-term recovery. Lifeskills Aftercare groups are staff-facilitated,
and directed to meet the real-life, real-time needs of each individual.
